Who seeks the services of a chiropractor?

Jun 4

People seek chiropractic treatment for various reasons, including pain alleviation, spinal correction, and preventive care. Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-invasive approach to healing that can provide relief from a wide range of conditions and disorders. For example, a chiropractor can help relieve pain in the neck, back, shoulders, joints, and headaches. Chiropractic care can also improve your overall health and well-being by correcting misalignments in the spine and other joints, which helps your body function more efficiently. If you are looking for an alternative to traditional medicine, or simply want to feel your best, consider seeking the services of a chiropractor.

Which of the following groups do you belong to?

Chiropractors specialize in children, geriatrics, and a wide range of other patient specialties, including sports, nutrition, accident care, radiography, neurology, and orthopedics, to mention a few.

These specialties reflect the wide range of services that patients expect from chiropractors. Chiropractors are seen by people of all ages, as seen by the profession's varied specialty. As a result, one begins to ponder the following:

"Who is a chiropractic patient, or who visits a chiropractor in the first place?"

  1. About half of the clients who visit a chiropractor seek relief from pain. This is unsurprising given the drug corporations' relentless assault on "relief" promotion. Society tells us that symptoms like pain are harmful and that relieving them is the best way to get back on track with our health. Those who seek pain relief from a chiropractor, on the other hand, have recognized the limitations of a medicine-only strategy and/or have legitimate concerns about drug side effects.

  1. Corrective spinal treatment is the second group of chiropractic patients subject to this section. They choose spine rehabilitation because they see the benefits of treating a condition that tends to repeat itself or can get worse over time; they account for another 40% of chiropractic patients.

About half of these patients are freed from care with no set maintenance regimen after completing their rehabilitative care and improving from 85 percent to 95 percent. They are only to return if or when indications and symptoms of change reappear.

Due to considerable physical damage from decades of structural wear and tear or the severe nature of the injuries incurred initially, the other half only receives 65 percent to 80 percent of the essential repair in that 2-3 months. They're put on a maintenance regimen that lasts anywhere from 6 to 18 months, allowing for gradual microtissue improvements that take longer to recover from.

This level of care also includes various lifestyle adjustments, as what a person does daily impacts their chronic health concerns. People are now considering how to best look ahead to the future and how chiropractic fits into their healthcare decisions as they complete this program of care. The vast majority prefer to return only when necessary.

  1. Health and Wellness. The remaining 10%–20% of chiropractic patients who have made enough observations about life and health make up this category. They've worked to enhance their health philosophy, in which they choose to develop a personal relationship with their chiropractor rather than just seeing him on a regular but rare basis.

Surprisingly, these are the people who, over time, have fewer medical doctor visits and are less likely to wind up in the hospital unless they are hit by a bus. They also seek out a similarly aligned chiropractor when they move to another place to maintain this level of personal treatment.
