Realtor.com Removes Crime Map For Home Searches

Realtor.com's decision to remove the crime map from their website is an absolute travesty for consumer protection. In no way does hiding this information but help the end consumer search for properties. To try and claim that crime data doesn't give the home buyer a sense of safety in a given area is at minimum a flawed thought. However, it's clear the intention is more about optics as the CEO of Realtor.com made that statement that many reported crimes may in fact be fake crimes. Of course, reporting a fake crime is a crime anyways so it would technically equal out even if this was the case.
